Youth growth conditions

These are specific conditions that affect active children and adolescents during periods of lots of physical activity.

There are three common areas affected: the heel, the top of the shin bone or the bottom of the knee cap.

Your child may describe strong, aching pain at any of these areas during or after physical activity, particularly running or jumping. They may have mentioned vague pain in these areas in the past.

I’ve had personal experience with one of these (Osgood-Schlatter’s Disease), and I’m passionate about giving kids and parents better advice than what was given to my parents and I back in the day.
