I’ve had a fortunate and varied sporting career, from junior football to surf boat rowing, multiple Volleyball WA Superleague state titles, playing for WA in the Australian Volleyball League and most recently a WAAFL premiership with Melville Football Club. On retiring from football I’ve found a new love in the sport of trail running, having completed the Margaret River Ultra, Transcend, Run Bibbulmun Stage Race and the Backyard ultras.
I love getting people exercising and learning about their bodies, and helping them discover how capable their bodies can be no matter what shape, size or age.
I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge - hard-earned through many years of reading, professional development and plenty of trial and error. I’ve also conducted research into return to sport following ACL injury as part of my postgraduate studies, which is an area of keen interest for me.

Like most kids in Australia in the 1990s, I grew up playing every sport I could convince my parents to sign me up for, filling my weeknights and Saturdays with football, soccer, basketball and cricket. I have a keen interest in basketball and football in particular, still playing regular pickup basketball, but have hung up the footy boots.
While working in my previous career as a mechanical engineer, I discovered and fell in love with resistance training and strength sports. I became a huge proponent of the many benefits of building strength and physical capacity for people of all demographics and levels of fitness. I have since combined my loves of sport and exercise, fascination with the mechanics of the human body, and desire to help people, undertaking a career change to become a physiotherapist.
I am passionate about helping people understand their bodies better, develop their capacity, and return to the things they love doing when injuries get in the way. In addition to sports physiotherapy, as a musician, I have a keen interest in tailored physiotherapy for musicians. I gain huge satisfaction from seeing my clients achieve improved quality of life through reductions in pain, improvements in function, return to work, sport and performance and, in some cases, simply through better understanding their conditions and being supported to manage them.
